THE PANTHER WITH TWO HEARTS
In a world where the Men are far from being the most evolved species, the ancient civilization of the Alkebs thrives alongside them. Powerful beings, often compared to gods in certain human legends.
However, the Alkeb diaspora, living in human territories across the world, suffers systemic discrimination, victims of increasingly persistent religious propaganda associating them with demons.
This is how we follow Olivia Dubois, a young woman from the privileged neighbourhoods of Brussels, whose life is turned upside down by the death of her grandfather, accidentally revealing the alkeb origins of her family.
Hunted by the Belgian authorities who threaten to take away her fundamental rights, Olivia's only legacy from her past is her Sister Star, her late grandfather's amulet, which she keeps preciously as a lucky charm.
Determined to escape her destiny, she chooses to flee to Órelota, the flagship island of the Alkeb Kingdom.
Culturally human, but of Alkeb origin, she will try as best she can to make a place for herself in this new world, so strange in her eyes.
There, guided and supported by her new group of friends, she will discover a land with many facets, oscillating between wonders, mysteries, corruption and dramas.
ALKEBWORLD
The story behind "The Panther with Two Hearts" is actually a metaphor for my philosophy, and I leave it to each individual to interpret my words with their own worldview.
Where did this story originate?
My inspiration is none other than an Afro diaspora in search of bearings, at a time when inclusivity is valued for minorities and literary characters are modified to correspond to current sensitivities, where cultural and ethnic divisions become identity markers, and colorism and cultural appropriation seem to lose their original meaning.
Faced with these upheavals, I took a step back to observe the evolution of the world and ask myself a crucial question:
“Why should we, people of African descent, be proud to adopt cultures that are not our own?”
By looking back to my past, I rediscovered the cultural treasures that my ancestors bequeathed to me, which inspired me to create a fantasy universe, nourished by rich African mythologies, to celebrate the beauty of my heritage.
It's wonderful, and it's into this new universe that I'm taking you on a journey.

A folk tale from the Alkeb culture about the emergence of the three Primordial Spirits. The story begins with the celestial messenger MU IDA who descended from the stars in the form of a gigantic Ancient to guide the first mortals in art, love, and the essence of life.
But upon arrival, he hit his head on the ground, lost his memory and no longer knew who he was, where he came from, or even his language.
During his wanderings, he met a silver-furred panther who, like him, felt like an outsider in this world: rejected by the animals, misunderstood by mortals. They decided to roam forests, mountains, and deserts together, living on the fringes, hiding from the mortals who feared them...

JESSY
Peter Mertens, a man psychologically broken after a terrible family tragedy, spirals into alcoholism, self-destruction, and infidelity. After putting on a strange ring he can no longer remove, he encounters a young woman, Jessy, the following day. At the expense of his marriage, she offers him an intense and ambiguous relationship, playing with his desires and guilt, all the while whispering words of revenge in his ear.

When and where does the plot of Alkeb - The Naked Spirit take place?
The first volume begins in 2022 in Marais , a fictional municipality in the south of Brussels, before continuing in the Kingdom of Alkeb , the continent of origin of the Alkeb.
This vast territory, made up of seven distinct nations, is located in the South Atlantic Ocean, between Brazil and the West African coast.
How many volumes will the saga have?
The "ALKEBWORLD" saga will span five books, divided into two arcs spanning several decades. It will be enriched by several short stories and novellas set in the same universe.
The first short story, " Jessy " , is a thriller set in the Marais , the hometown of Olivia Dubois, the protagonist and heroine of the first volume, and takes place eleven years before the first volume.
The first volume of "Tales and Legends" , a collection composed of several stories and appendices, traces the emergence of the Alkeb civilization over nearly twelve thousand years.
